Alan Chamo
A staple in the Miami Entertainment scene. Alan is a master of mentalism (Magic of the Mind) and the only that can do an entertaining mental act in English Spanish and even “Spanglish”. Alan uses comedy and Mental Magic to motivate and inspire people from all walks of life. I work with companies such as Pepsi, KFC, Kraft, Universal, Roche, Royal Caribbean, NBC, Telemundo, and Univision. He was the star of an international television commercial for American Express, performed Live in front of 50 million viewers at the “Premio Lo Nuestro“, and won an IBM (International Brotherhood of Magic) Award
David Brasfield
Mr. Brasfield, Chairman, CEO and Founder of NXTsoft, has demonstrated a track record of success in creating and developing several technology companies from inception to successful exit over the last 30 years. In these ventures, Mr. Brasfield has successfully developed and implemented strategies for sales, marketing and software product development. He has been a director of a community bank and is currently a member of other boards in the Birmingham area. Mr. Brasfield holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Andy McMakin
Mr. McMakin, President of NXTsoft, graduated from the University of Alabama in 2003 with a degree in accounting. After graduation, Cafes in Birmingham, Alabama. Mr. McMakin now serves as the company’s Chairman, which has grown to 4 locations, a wholesale division, and employs over 100 people. Mr. McMakin also serves as a principal of his consulting firm, Fountain Row Partners, LLC, where he has worked with clients in a broad range of industries focusing on finance, accounting and executive management and leadership development. He earned his CPA and started his career in public accounting. In 2005, he and his wife co-founded Ashley Mac’s.
Chip Moore
Chip Moore serves as Systems Engineer at First Bank of Alabama. He has earned the ICBA Certified Community Bank Technology Officer designation as well as completing the Alabama Banker’s Association’s three year School of Banking program at the University of South Alabama. In addition to his work in banking, he still maintains a select client list from his consulting business in a variety of industries and serves in leadership roles in many local civic organizations.
Nelson Chu
Nelson is the founder and CEO of Cadence, the leading digital securitization and investment platform for private credit. He is a 3x startup founder with several years of experience at the top investment management firms, including Bank of America and BlackRock. Prior to Cadence, he founded a strategy consulting firm specializing in helping companies build products and raise capital for growth, creating over $1B in equity value. He currently serves as an advisor to an ultra high net worth family office and is an active angel investor, with notable investments including BlockFi, Cadre, Care/Of, Clover Health, dv01, Tala, and Uala.
Grantland Rice IV
Grantland Rice IV is Chief Operating Officer at Cobbs Allen. Grantland’s main areas of focus are finance, accounting, technology, and mergers and acquisitions. He also serves as a risk management consultant for Cobbs Allen clients, during which he concentrates on group captives. Before joining the Cobbs Allen team, Grantland was an audit manager at Sellers Richardson Holman & West, where he focused on manufacturing, education, and investment company clients. Grantland received both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy from Auburn University.
Mitt Schroeder
Mitt Schroeder, CEO, Central State Bank, graduated Troy University in Marketing and obtained his MBA from Troy. He started working for Central State Bank as an Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer and became CEO of Central State Bank in 2012. Kevin Minton
Kevin Minton serves as the Information Security Officer at First Bank of Alabama. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has worked in community banking his entire career. Kevin has worked in all different areas of banking including teller, loan processor, loan officers, assistant branch manager, collections department supervisor, and loan operations supervisor.
Nolan Gesher
Nolan serves as Vice President – Client Services at Abrigo, where he brings an extensive background in the financial technology market. Nolan has a proven track record of helping financial institutions drive growth and manage risk as well as providing enablement, support, and leadership to help our customers be successful. Nolan earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware and his MBA from Rutgers University.
Jason Falconer
Jason Falconer serves as the Network Administrator of Mountain Brook City Schools. Jason has spent 15+ years incorporating technology into the K-12 education environment. During his time with Mountain Brook City Schools, Jason has been responsible of designing and maintaining the network infrastructure to maintain uninterrupted access for students and staff. When Jason isn’t at the office, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two kids.
Bart Hall
Mr. Hall is the Director of Compliance for NXTsoft. Mr. Hall has more than 30 years of management, audit, compliance and regulatory experience with financial institutions. Mr. Hall has extensive experience dealing with senior management, board members and regulatory examiners obtained during his professional career. During his career Mr. Hall has obtained various professional certifications including CIA, CBA, CFSA and CFE. Mr. Hall earned his BS of Finance at Auburn University.
Bobby Childs
Bobby Childs is the Vice President of Business Development for NXTsoft. Bobby’s experience and expertise supports the current growth of the business by deepening relationships both with our current partners and clients as well as being the driving force behind the development of new relationships for NXTsoft. Bobby has years of experience in running national sales and marketing teams for businesses across the country.
Brandon Jarrett
Brandon Jarrett is the President of ThreatAdvice by NXTsoft. Mr. Jarrett previously worked for Milner, Inc. where he served as the national sales manager. Brandon comes with a wealth of experience in the managed services business and has an accomplished track record of successfully growing managed services /telephony businesses. Brandon holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering Technologies and is a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Cisco Certified Network Associate.
John Anton
John Anton is SVP of Product, NXTsoft, OmniLytics. He is responsible for designing and overseeing the company’s Asset Liability Management solution designed for financial institutions. Anton oversees all ALM modeling and bond accounting operations. Anton is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a B.S. in Finance from Trinity University.
Michael Johnson
Mr. Johnson is a Senior Systems Engineer for ThreatAdvice by NXTsoft. He brings 20+ years of experience in Information Technology and security, including both public and private sectors. He has led project teams in designing and implementing data centers and networks with a major focus on security, producing and increasing sales and creating and developing policies and procedures for IT departments. Mr. Johnson holds advanced certificates in several areas of sales and security from the following: Cisco, VMware, Veeam, Microsoft, ITIL, IBM and more.
Rich Longo
Rich Longo is President of NXTsoft's Data Business, Omni and Director of Strategy for the overall company. Prior to joining NXTsoft, Rich was the Managing Partner and Founder of Transform FinTech, a FinTech Advisory firm that provided strategic advice for companies like Robinhood, Goldman Sachs, RBC Innovations and Finastra. Prior to that role, Rich held senior leadership positions over the past 20 years at global companies Infosys, Temenos, VSoft, and FIS. He was instrumental in transforming those financial technology businesses by converting their business models and creating new offerings.
Tom Parsons
Tom VP of Sales, NXTsoft OmniLytics and is a banking professional with over 20 years of experience delivering SAAS and application software to financial institutions. He has helped over 700 clients solve analytical problems and improve reporting accuracy using financial technology. Tom’s philosophy is simple: he wants to help you be as confident as possible understanding and explaining your complex analytical results to the board and examiners.
Will Blackburn
Will Blackburn serves as NXTsoft’s Chief Technology Officer and oversees development of all of the company’s business units. Mr. Blackburn created and developed the company’s flagship ThreatAdvice cybersecurity education, awareness and intelligence solution. He has developed and launched multiple applications. Blackburn is a 2019 recipient of The Birmingham Business Journal’s Rising Star Award. He holds a B.S. in computer science from The University of Alabama.
Dennis Holthaus
Mr. Holthaus is the Managing Director of Skyway Capital Markets in Tampa, Florida. He specializes in credit union/bank acquisitions and credit union issuance of secondary capital. Prior to joining Skyway, he held the positions of Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Achieva Credit Union (“Achieva”) in Dunedin, Florida, the first credit union to acquire a community bank via merger and the first credit union to acquire a second community bank. Prior to joining Achieva, Mr. Holthaus has thirty-seven years of experience in the banking industry as a C-suite executive, primarily as CFO, with publicly traded banks, privately held banks, and a mutual savings bank. During this time he was involved in multiple mergers and acquisitions on both the buy and sell-side, including the first Florida based financial institution to acquire out-of-state financial institutions. Mr. Holtaus has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from St. Louis University.
Luis Simonet
Mr. Simonet is the Chief Information Security Officer of NXTsoft. He brings a wealth of information technology knowledge and experience to his role as CISO. Mr. Simonet holds advanced certificates from: Cisco, VMWare, EMC, Novell, AVAYA and Microsoft. He has worked with numerous companies to design and implement their I.T. infrastructure and is currently a member of DAC’s taskforce for Nortel Networks. Mr. Simonet graduated from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio, with B.A. in Biology.
Charles Potts
Charles Potts is Senior Vice President and Chief Innovation Officer for the Independent Community Bankers of America® (ICBA). In this role, Potts will drive ICBA’s innovation, change management, and financial technology strategies, working with ICBA leadership to develop impactful, value-added solutions that help community banks seize new market opportunities to meet customers’ evolving financial services’ needs. Potts’ extensive financial services experience spans more than 25 years and includes executive positions at several fintech and international financial service providers. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta. He attended the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.
Ron Shevlin
Ron Shevlin is the Managing Director of Fintech Research at Cornerstone Advisors. Author of the book Smarter Bank and the Fintech Snark Tank on Forbes, Ron is ranked among the top fintech influencers globally and is a frequent keynote speaker at banking and fintech industry events.
Wade Arnold
Wade has directed digital banking strategies and challenged long-term visions from both core banking and fintech positions. He believes in looking at banking from a fresh perspective; anything that can be imagined can be built.
Wade directed Jack Henry & Associates’ mobile strategy, including guiding banks and credit unions to better engage consumers and strengthen the overall solvency of their institutions for years to come. He joined Jack Henry & Associates through the company’s acquisition of Banno, a company that he founded and developed to help financial institutions better engage in consumers’ financial activities.
Today, Wade helps new entrepreneurs grow through mentorship and seed investments. He is a member and past president of the Association for Financial Technology (AFT), as well as an investor and advisor for payments start-up BillGO. He entered the industry as an Adobe Enterprise Evangelist and the lead developer of Zend AMF, touring the world to speak at web development conferences and authoring books on open source development.
Vikas Rao
Vikas is the Vice President of Product Management at Ellie Mae. In this role, he is responsible for the Encompass Digital Lending Platform and the Ellie Mae Network.
Over the past 12 years, Vikas has helped companies in Silicon Valley launch their next-generation suite of products. He has a track record of balancing technology and user experience. Vikas also holds a master’s degree in Computer Science.
Joe Marshall
Joe Marshall is a security researcher for the Outreach Team with Cisco Talos Intelligence Group, one of the largest commercial threat intelligence teams in the world. Joe specializes in industrial control systems, critical infrastructure protection, and IoT device security. Joe has worked with public and private industry around the world to help secure critical ICS and IoT assets from threats both mundane and exotic. Joe resides in Baltimore Maryland, where he can be found knee deep in threat research and helping keep the Internet safe.
Joe Dahleen
Joe is a 25-year veteran of the mortgage industry who specializes in executive management, FinTech and strategic marketing. He is known for being a strong advocate of technology and an expert in leveraging the latest tech stack and automation to ensure the success of his endeavors. He also has experience in appraisal management portals, digital vaulting and private label, cloud-based business models.
Sara Nakae
Sara has over 15 years of experience in FinTech serving the financial services sector in agency marketing and extensive experience in the lending industry working with banks, credit unions, and mortgage companies to deliver award-winning technology solutions and services. Named one of 2020 & 2019's Most Powerful Women in FinTech and Marketing Trailblazer, Sara has deep industry knowledge in the financial digital space.
